Our Story

AFTERGLOW Women's Wrestling

At AFTERGLOW Women’s Wrestling we are dedicated to honoring the past, present and future of the art of professional wrestling. Rooted in legacy and tradition we aim to combine storytelling, entertaining characters, athleticism and a diverse roster of women. We embrace the strength and the empowerment of women, re-igniting an era where women can have the spotlight on them in and out of the ring. Here at AFTERGLOW we encourage women of all backgrounds to break boundaries through athletic excellence and unapologetic self-expression. We strive on building a community like experience for our performers, staff and fans alike.

Meet our President:

Roxy Astor rose to fame as one of the vibrant stars of the hit 1980s television series GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. A fan favorite in seasons 3 and 4, she was part of the tag team "The Park Avenue Knockouts" and became known for her charisma both in and out of the ring.

After GLOW, Roxy found success as a fashion designer and hairstylist, but her passion for empowering women and entertaining fans never faded. She later founded AFTERGLOW, a tribute to the legacy of GLOW, creating a community for the original wrestlers and their fans through events, cruises, and live shows.

In 2018, Roxy expanded the brand with AfterGLOW: The 80s Musical—a heartfelt stage production based on the real lives of the GLOW women, weaving music, storytelling, and wrestling nostalgia into a unique theatrical experience. The musical not only showcased the struggles and triumphs of the original GLOW cast but also brought their stories to a new generation of fans.

Beyond wrestling and fashion, Roxy is passionate about animal rescue and has been involved in other theatrical productions, including a stage play titled Matilda the Hun: The Raw Meat, which she co-produced and starred in. The play, based on the life of fellow GLOW wrestler Deanna Booher (Matilda the Hun), was performed in July 2024 and received multiple Broadway World Award nominations.

Roxy's multifaceted career—from wrestling and fashion to theater and animal advocacy—demonstrates her versatility and enduring impact on the entertainment industry.

As President of AFTERGLOW Women’s Wrestling, Roxy continues to champion the spirit of sisterhood, empowerment, and 80s entertainment, keeping the legacy of GLOW alive while evolving it into something fresh and deeply personal.
